As Beth Insabella explains, this Guest Bathroom "is a high impact punch of rock n' roll—which is only fitting to be black and white." is was originally an all beige bathroom and redesigned with "Billie Ombre mosaic tiles"—an Artistic Tile collection from the legendary jazz musician, Billie Holiday. e iridescent, handmade black marble tiling starts at the base and transcends from gray into a pure opalescent white, elevating and maximizing the height of the room. e original shower wall was removed and converted to glass to extend the shower and make the room appear a bit larger. But the centerpiece of the "Back in Black" bathroom is the vinyl mural that runs the entire length of the bathroom wall. In a creative nod to its design inspiration, the bathroom wall features an original artwork of the rock band AC/DC, composed entirely of words, letters, and lyrics to their hit songs–and the Guest Bathroom's namesake "Back in Black." A free-floating black trough sink and LED backlit floating mirror highlights the marble mosaic tile and allows the centerpiece of the room–the wall mural–to electrify the audience. Adjacent to the Guest Bathroom is the Guest Bedroom where Insabella and the homeowner decided "we wanted something fun and so different from anything else in the house." To achieve their goal, INSABELLADESIGN incorporated Kravet wallpaper with peacock feathers, waterfalls, and zebras prancing on the accent wall, black hair- on-hide side tables and matching foot bench with bright gold "stiletto" legs, and dramatic custom upholstered bed and bedframe. A dense shag carpet infuses a nostalgic feeling in the space. Deep, rich blues are incorporated throughout the room with matching blackout shades that provide complete privacy for this unique Guest Bedroom. Since first opening her doors in 1996, INSABELLADESIGN has completed numerous high-end commercial, healthcare, and residential projects. With personal spaces of high-profile clients on her list and transformations such as this contemporary Colts Neck estate, it is no surprise why Beth Insabella remains a much sought-aer interior designer in the tri-state area and Florida.
