Aer her father's unexpected death in 2021, Emily Agrinsoni became the boss of her family's distribution company practically overnight. As a pioneer in t he d ist r ibut i on worl d, C harl i e Agrinsoni founded his company in the early 2000s and became a major distributor for the Hamptons, most notably Hamptons Magazine when it was owned by Jason Binn. Brand new in the industry and driven towards success, Charlie Agrinsoni and his daughter, Emily, worked to create a strategy to break down their distribution plan town-by-town, starting in Westhampton and working all the way to Montauk. Proving their consistency, trustworthiness, and dedication to excellence, the Agrinsonis became a prominent figure in the Hamptons distribution world. When Charlie Agrinsoni passed away in January of 2021, Emily Agrinsoni became the leader of his distribution company with little time to process the death of her father. Knowing her father would want her to keep pushing forward, Emily took a few days to grieve, but was back to business shortly aer the tragic loss. Extremely close to her father and describing Charlie as her "person," Emily took the death of her dad with incredible difficulty, but also with renewed inspiration to keep the business alive. Emily remembers her father's slogan to "do good and be good" whenever she is feeling down or doubting herself. "Whenever I get really hard on myself, I remember that things will always fall in place for you when you're doing something good," Emily explained. Doing right by her employees by continuing the family business and generating work for them is her motivation to keep working hard. ough Emily Agrinsoni was always involved in her family's distribution business, she also studied Business Administration in college and worked for Bank of America before returning to the distribution company in 2012. Originally employed as a driver for her father's business, Emily Agrinsoni learned every angle of the company. "is job sucked me in," Emily explained. "You have to love what you do because it's hard work. It's mental and it's physical and it's not easy." When Emily Agrinsoni took over the business in 2021, she did not feel prepared to take on the role, but was determined to do right by her father. V U E H A M P TO N S . C O M 6 3
