FRANK BRUSCO BY KRISTIN ACCORSI When Frank Brusco set out to coach his kids' soccer practice in June 2015, he never imagined he would end the day as a restaurant owner. Yet, that's exactly what happened. It was a normal day of soccer practice followed by a quick stop for food for Frank and his kids, who were hungry, hot, and tired. Aer calling in his order ahead of time and despite an empty restaurant, Frank was displeased to find himself waiting on his food to be ready. "e owner walked by," Frank shares, "and I said, 'buddy, what's going on? It's not busy; my kids are hungry.'" e owner candidly responded, detailing an understaffed kitchen and the general challenges of running the business. A successful commercial printing executive at the time, Frank "asked him some business questions. 'How long is your lease? How's business? Where do you stand?'"
